[Rule-list] mailing list privacy

First of all, hello to everyone on this list. :-)

Marco,

Thanks for setting this up. This project should be fun.
I assume you are the mailing list admin for the group. I would like to
suggest a couple of changes in the configuration of mailman.

The list members are visible to the world (but somewhat obfuscated)
via the mailman interface. Can we change the privacy options to prevent
this? From the admin interface you should be able to select
"Privacy options"
Then for "Who can view subscription list?" select:
"List admin only" or at least "List members"

Another setting I like to see is "Restrict posting privilege to list
members?" yes

Another option to consider is "Hide the sender of a message, replacing
it with the list address (Removes From, Sender and Reply-To fields)"
This one is more controversial.

Marco, I am pretty good with CVS so if you want to work together on getting
the repository in order let me know.

Thanks,

Chuck Moss
p.s. Forrest, you seem to be on all the same lists I am. It makes it
difficult for me to remember which mailbox I am reading by the names. ;-)
