This brought to me another thought: What about making a very small ISO
(I fear a floppy will be too small) without any packages, which just
boots the modified installer and comps file, asks the questions and then
installs from the original Red Hat CDs? SGI does something similar to
brovide install-time support for their journaling filesystem XFS, see
http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/ . I asked on their mailing list how
they did it, they told me to look into the anaconda source on their ISO.
Sadly I neither have time nor knowledge enough to dig into this, but
maybe someone else?

Hopefully monday evening (German time, GMT +1). Right now all the pieces
of hardware I could get from my company are lying here next to my,
waiting to be assembled. I have to be careful what to use, there's some
very strange hardware among it (from the cheapest computers one could
buy in Gerrmany four years ago). Before I try RULE I'll do a standard
RHL7.2 install to test everything.

Best regards,
