Basic desktop.  Clients, not servers.  Graphical browser:  
small, simple and up-to-date.  Email:  launched from browser, 
but not necessarily graphical.  Text processing and printing:     
graphical wordprocessor would be nice, but non-graphical text 
processor is OK.  Basic networking: sufficient to connect to 
internet and IP masquerade, but not inetd.  Freecell :-)
