[Rule-list] Okay, i'm ready to get started

i've been missing all the list traffic of late, due to a whole big pile of 
RL problems :)  Anyway, right now, where i'm at is that i'd like to get 
started with a test install.

My hardware is suitably piddly - P100 laptop with 24Mb of RAM and only 
450Mb HD space, so i think it's a viable testbed.  In addition, since it 
seems to be a rare thing, i am using a laptop.  Issues abound 
(display-related, especially).

i seem to recall that there's a template for listing system specs, and i 
was hoping there'd be a template for test results.  Any of the above will 
be helpful, as well as links to whatever it takes to get this thing up and 
running on a system that can't boot from a CD (but does have one)
