[Rule-list] slow on the list

Hi,

I've been checking every day. I guess the list
just got slow. I got messages today from Eugene
and Richard so I think it's working.

I have an idea I would like to throw out. A
custom slinky install to use an older system as a
firewall. I am running ipchains but I believe
iptables is now the preferred solution.

This would connect a LAN to the internet through
dialup or broadband network connection. This
might be better to implement as two installs.

1. For a dialup system where a network card and
modem are needed.

2. For a broadband system where two network cards
are needed.

Any input on this? I hope to work on this next
month.

Thanks,

Larry
