[RULE] State of the RULE

Hello,

I will leave in a few hours for vacation, until september 5th.

I have just updated some pages (listed in home page "Most recent"
section) according to the changes provided by Ingo, Richard and
others. Thanks for the contribution!

The Asian Centre for Open Source mentions RULE (link from home page,
news section)

The new logo (black and white version) has been added to the home
page. Thanks again to Haef for drawing it

Linux Pakistan is going to publish a CD with all the RULE software and
the website mirror. The indian magazine LinuxForYou will also publish
a RULE article in the next months.

September is also the month when the vum:BOXes based on RULE will be
delivered by Ingo and the other VUM fellows.

I answered just an hour ago to a request asking "RULE for Mandrake"
saying that much of the RULE approach can be ported to other
distributions, as long as an expert takes care of that specific
subproject.

On september 24th, if everything goes well, I will present RULE to
linuxatwork 2003 (www.linuxatwork.info), an italian meeting targeted
this year to small and medium businesses with the need to make the
most out of any Euro, including old IT equipment...

I have also added (correctly I hope) the "Last modified" PHP header to
all pages. This would allow for automatic mirroring of the whole web
site on other servers. If I have done it correctly, Ingo and Vegard
Munthe will be able to finalize the process, and announce here
officially the RULE mirrors. Thanks to them for their effort.

Of course, thanks also to Michael Fratoni, who delivered (and
delivers!) the miniconda and slinky without which all this would be
still academics.

I have realized that I have just filled a whole screen with RULE news
happening outside the list, which is normally involved only with
technical support and announces. There is a lot to RULE and it is my
fault if so far I was so busy trying to keep track of all these
things... to forget announcing them here. Sorry. I will try
from next month to post regular summaries like this.

Thanks again to all who contribute. See you in september.

Ciao,
	Marco Fioretti
