I had problems with CD boot and overcame them using a boot manager that
allows you to boot CD's, it's called 'XOSL' and can be found at
http://xosl.sourceforge.net/
it contains, as a subset, the boot manager 'Smart Boot Manager' , which
allows it to boot CD's, the dowside however, if memory serves me correctly
is that it installs on a dos partition.
You could install XOSL using floppies and then take out your floppy drive
and then boot the system using a RULE boot CD.
If you have any queries I would be glad to try and answer them, however I
may not remeber all the necessary details!

toodles
Dan
