[RULE] LILO or partition table messed up??

Hello,

trying to install RH9/slinky 0.3.96 and/or slackware 8 on my laptop,
to see if in some way I can make pcmcia work.

I really don't know how when and how, but I messed up something. My
hard drive became hdb instead of hda. As far as I recall, I did not
play into the bios.

Now however I guess it tries to boot from hda. Which now points to the
CDROM.
Anyway, the screen gets filled by "07 07 07", see
http://www.wlug.org.nz/LiloErrorCodes.

What do you think happened? And which rescue floppy do you suggest, or
which LILO thing to do?

TIA,
	Marco F.
