[RULE] HDD Failure

Sounds to me like maybe the mbr didn't copy correctly.  First thing I'd
try to do is boot from other media (did you make a rescue floppy? a RH or
Slinky CD?), then mount and chroot into the system and run /sbin/lilo.  I
would think that should fix any sort of mbr problem.
