FYI:  In case your machine cannot boot directly from a CD-ROM (old
BIOS), you can use a Smart Boot Manager floppy.  It's hard to find and
development seemed to stop in 2000, but because it's open source (and
useful), it lives on in several places:

It's also distributed with Slackware.
