I have been a little busy with other things, so there has not been
much progress made. I will soon be posting the results of my
successful install of FC3 with slinky on one of the boxes. The other
does fine without it, but I may use slinky anyway in the future. The
third is a laptop for which a floppy drive has not yet been found, so
that may have to wait.

The software you are thinking of may be distcc, which does the actual
compilation over the network and yields the same results. This should
be trivial to use, since it can just replace the gcc binary and make
all compilations run over the network.

As for the timeliness of your response, the pace of this list suits me
just fine. It corresponds fairly well to how often I am able to do
serious work at home.

Thanks,
Billy
