Exactly. For the record, this is just the area where I have become more
involved lately, as some of you may (hopefully) have already heard:
establishing a new channel. Which, among other things, could also bring
more
families and schools to RULE and friends :-)

I couldn't agree more. Let's just me stress (sorry, I know I'm obsessed
about this...) that "really making a difference" means two equally
important things:

1) providing installers and docs which require the smallest possible
amount of geekiness and previous ICT skills to recycle an old PC
for SOHO or study use (note that this, in and by itself, doesn't
stop at all what we could do from being also an excellent server
   platform)

2) making sure that #1 above doesn't leave those users alone in a
desert (distro without alive online community) or in unfriendly
places (distro for die-hard software experts). By this I mean
"publishing a Debian netinstall howto is a wonderful thing, let's
not produce _only_ this kind of things if possible". In other words,
let's try to continue with installers for Fedora and/or Ubuntu? Others?

Ciao,
          Marco
