So far as I know it effects both the mail list and the archive. I don't
think there is an option to seperate the functionality. (at least in the
current version of mailman) ;-)

I'm torn on this one. I prefer having to make a conscious decision to send
to the list but that does put your email address out in the ether to be
picked up by spammers. I am less concerned by that now that I block open
relays and use a differenet email address for each list I subscribe to.
(mutt is good) For me I would probably vote no on the reply to:/ hide the
sender of message but i hate to have a list as spam bait.
