Not to mention the fact that RedHat supports the sendmail consortium
financially. :)

To date, their position has been that postfix conflicts with sendmail,
and they don't want to build the optional choice into the installer. That
isn't to say that things couldn't change down the road. Personally, I
think they should offer the option.

This is the reason I went with the ISO option. You install our ISO, and
have a functional system. Basic, but functional, and 100% RedHat
compatible. You can then add any additional packages you like, possibly
even from the official RedHat CDs, or the update site.

As far as forcing people to use our idea of 'base' I don't think they
have a lot of options. I've got the installer down to a point now where
it contains little more than the necessary packages and their
dependencies. ;)

On a different topic, did you get the mail I sent from the savannah site?
I see no way to add myself as a developer. Just this message on the
developers page:

"If you would like to contribute to this project by becoming a developer,
contact one of the project admins, designated in bold text below."

Let me know if I am missing something, please?

I need to get to work, I'll spend some more time looking at all this
tonight. Take care,
