Hi all,

Does anyone have a spare machine to try a test install on?

NOTE: This should not be a machine you really care about. :)
This is alpha quality at best.

16 MB of memory and a 500MB hard disk should be more than enough.

I've modified anaconda, creating new install classes, and getting rid of
others. I also used a modified comps file, and a slimmed down package
list. Selecting 'low mem' as the install type will install a base set of
packages. The resulting install results in a functional, though minimal
system. If you choose 'low mem' you are also given the option to install
network support, ppp support, and messaging and web tools.

It appears to work, and installs without difficulty here on 16MB of
memory. The install takes about 30 minutes on my test machine.

I'm uploading the iso image now (248 MB). I'll provide the web address to
anyone who's interested.

I can also post diffs on the anaconda package, the comps file, or
anything else there is interest in.

The packages included in the iso are listed here:

Feedback on the included packages would be useful.
