additional tests on a machine with mem=16Mb for the installer worked (no
scsi, only ide based PII) ... additionally, installed machine boots and
even runs in 16 Mb (after swap turned off) although the kswapd process
uses 99 % of CPU resources at a constant level ... responsiveness is
fairly respectable though ...
