Martin,
When you do grab another version to test, try 0.6.3. (uploading now)
(0.6.2 and above require the Red Hat 7.2 disks for installation)
I removed the anaconda rpms from the image, and made minor fixes.
There are 2 versions, in an effort to reduce image size.
One is a normal build, and is 88M, the other has no 'netstg1.img'. It
isn't needed unless you are doing a network install, and leaving it out
saves 6+M.

http://webpages.charter.net/lmf62/RULE_installer-v0.6.3.small.iso (82M)
I just did an install of the base packages plus openssh-server:
114 packages, using 140M of disk space.
I also reduced the memory requirement as you requested.
MIN_RAM=2000 (I dare you to try to install in that! :)
