Is this with  miniconda-v0.1.0, or 0.1.1?
Hopefully this is the issue a couple of others have seen.
I'm not sure why, but I can't reproduce the problem here. It should be 
fixed in 0.1.1

If you are using 0.1.0, chmod +x /usr/bin/rpm should fix it. The latest 
script does it automatically. If you have time and want to try again, 
could you do an ls -al /newroot/bin/rpm for me and post the output?
If that fixes it, then the script will also probably fail to set the root 
password. That should at least be non-fatal. You could try editing the 
base_install script, search for 'passwd' and change the line to 
/usr/bin/passwd. Again, others have seen it, but I can't reproduce it 
here.

Thanks for the feedback, and please let me know if any of the above fixes 
it. I'd really like to know if v0.1.1 takes care of the problems.
