Hi all,
It's ready for testing. See the CHANGELOG and README file in the /scripts
directory after booting for all the details. I just installed all
available packages (base, network, communication, sendmail, ssh, etc) on
a P200 limited to 8M of RAM. The install took an hour, and presented no
problems.
The only thing I would point out about the shell available on vt2 is that
if it is used during the pivot_root phase (rpm installation, lilo setup)
it has to be exited just prior to rebooting. If not, it will prevent a
clean reboot, because the installer will not be able to unmount the /
partition.
There are 2 versions of the disk. One with the Red Hat kernel*BOOT
modular kernel and the other using the same kernel I've been using right
along. There is no room for modules on the disk at the moment, but it may
be possible to load them from another disk. I haven't tried. The modular
kernel is version 2.4.9-31BOOT
Enjoy!
