Close but no cigar....Tried running straight through..just modprobe
sbpcd...then I tried adding params to modprobe but it still failed. Seems
to ignore the added stuff and just carries on as if the extra's weren't
there.

That's the link where I got all my info....the modprobe is doing exactly
like it should do with a generic compilation...slinky is doing exactly
what miniconda was doing till i managed to insert the right io (optional).
Somehow (and Lord knows; I would if I could---just to be of some help) we
got to be able to add those params just like miniconda does, actually it
would be very beneficial to all, including those with the older
nics....some of those old beasts just won't work until you tell nix where
to find them!!...
But boy...does that kernel go....(module loading sure lightens them up)
build #31...was 21 this AM..;-)) thought I didn't notice huh???.......;-)
We're close Devon....sorry I can't be of more help with the coding...
Later...G
