Even worse than using LiLo:
1) Run lilo to the partition's boot record.
2) dd the partition's boot record to a file
3) Copy that file somewhere (floppy) where Windows NT/2k/XP can find it
4) Reboot into Windows NT/2k/XP
5) Copy the file somewhere into %SYSTEM_ROOT%
6) Add a line to boot.ini
Would be interesting to try with Grub...

It *does* work that way, but booting Windows/whatever OS from LiLo or
Grub is far more comfortable!
