Hello,
another question about more or less automatic package selection, but
at a lower level.
Is anybody already playing around with the current Beta of Red Hat 8.1?
Can you post here a compressed list, in whatever format, of the
packages it should include, and in which version? an URL pointing to
it is also fine, of course.
We need that list as soon as possible because it is the only way we
can start going practical on all the issues dealt with in the
"software spreadsheets" threads running currently.
If we know what there will be on those CDs, we can figure out what we
have to RPM package ourselves, what should be selected, put in which
RULE ISO, and so on. I haven't checked this yet personally because
lack of bandwidth, if anybody already has it, please say so
Ouch: probably that list exist as a ls-lR.gz file on the RH ftp site,
or can be obtained by saving as text that ftp page(s). I'm going on
the office now, cannot check, but have a look if you can.
Ciao,
Marco Fioretti
