which apps to start? Keep in mind that a RULE-ified Red Hat system has
much less configuration done beforehand.
What is the content of $HOME/.xinitrc (assuming that kdrive uses that
too)? Is it empty, missing or with wrong permissions?
If missing, try to put inside it:
exec /usr/bin/X11/xterm &
exec /absolute/path/to/fluxbox
and let us know.
(in ANY case, until this is solved, launch startx like :startx >&
x_log_file, so x_log_file will contain all errors, complaints,
whatever)
