Hello Daniel
I have been following your posts and agree with David's comments.
You had also said "The only successful boot so far has been Tom's root-boot."
After you have sorted the jumpers and cabling mentioned by David and tried again with RULE boot disks (exactly what and how have you done to create these?) try Tom's disk if RULE fails. We might have a start from there.
