Full ACK. Proprietary kernels, proprietary "single solutions", causing all
more incompatibilities than any other distro - IMHO SuSE is as far away
from Red Hat like it is from Debian or any other distro.

If they continue to drive this road then many people (including me) won't
continue supporting Red Hat itself (bugzilla). Example given:
It took approx. 6 months to fix a stupid bug in RH9 network configuration
scripts. I needed some days to understand the "dirty" python code written
by RH. It wasn't possible to create a "normal" ISDN connection due to this
stupid bug and *they* couldn't fix it for months. I'm still wondering how
other RH9 users managed their ISDN dialup connection.
See: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=85365
"The community" won't support RH in such ways if they continue to drive
*this* new road.
