Everyone:

A newer version is online at the usual spot [1]; please check and test.
Note that quite a bit more stuff could be removed from this, but I'm
trying to stay within my rule of not forcing anything. So current disk
usage is around 420MB.

Any specific suggestions of other things I can safely remove are more
than welcome. Hint... :-)

I just got a note from Paul Nasrat [2] that he's removed the rhpl
dependency on synaptics, and will push out an update to FC3 later this
week sometime. This is great, since removing this dependency will allow
me to remove not only synaptics but also another few packages. Total
weight loss: about 16MB.

Furthermore, Jeff Spaleta on fedora-test-list has just pointed me to the
comps.xml file, which I did not know existed. At this point, I believe I
will make just a few more efforts to slim down my "fedora-minimal"
package list, such that overall disk space used is around 390MB with
docs and 360MB without docs.

After that, I will focus my efforts on creating a kickstart file for
this configuration, and on creating a reduced comps.xml file that also
results in this installed package list. I feel that this is the best way
to ensure that the FC4 "minimal" install is better designed and will
help a lot more people.

Comments and feedback welcome. Cheers!
