[Rule] Rule ISO with Qemu

Hi,
New guy to the list here. I have been using Debian GNU/Linux as a
hobbyist for a couple of years now. I stumbled across the Rule
Project while looking for a smaller, lightweight version of X to run
on an older computer. (Projects like Damn Small Linux and Feather
Linux, created mainly for older hardware, always seem to use Xvesa,
yet finding a Debian package of Xvesa was a bit of a challenge,
although I did find it here
<http://www.pps.jussieu.fr/~jch/software/kdrive/>.)
I am interested in trying out the Rule ISO while running Qemu 0.8.1 on
a host Windows XP. I downloaded both ISOs and neither of them appears
to boot correctly. Has anyone managed to get them to work with Qemu?
(I was hoping the Rule Installation Guide
<http://www.rule-project.org/article.php3?id_article=11> would help,
but that webpage still appears to not be working.)
Thanks,
Andy
