Hi guys,

I downloaded the following ISOs:
<http://www.rule-project.org/download/slinky/slinky-v0.3.96.iso>
<http://www.rule-project.org/download/iso/RULE-RH9-01.iso>
<http://www.rule-project.org/download/iso/RULE-RH9-updates.2004-03-26.iso>

in an attempt to install Rule on Qemu.

Everything seems to run smoothly until the package installation part.
I then receive errors similar to the post here,
<http://lists.hellug.gr/pipermail/rule-list/2005/003782.html>:

Dateconfig packages selected for install.
Error reported while installing glibc-common-2.3.2-11.9.i386.rpm.
Error reported while installing redhat-logos-1.1.12-1.noarch.rpm.
Error reported while installing glibc-2.3.2-11.9.i386.rpm.
  ...  <Error from 137 packages omitted>
Error reported while installing kernel-2.4.20-8.i586.rpm.

I looked at the package lists on both the RULE-RH9-01.iso and the
RULE-RH9-updates.2004-03-26.iso and neither seem to have the right
packages that slinky is looking for.

In response to John's email referenced above, the following was written:
"Slinky is designed to install the "official" Red Hat release, it will
fail if you attempt to install from updated media. (Unless you update
all of the package lists, see the README file.)"

So does that mean that this version of Slinky needs the "official" Red
Hat release (which I thought "RULE-RH9-01.iso" was or does it require
the "RULE-RH9-updates.2004-03-26.iso". Neither seem to work, with the
same error occurring for both.

Where can I get either a slinky ISO that will work with the Red Hat
ISOs available, or a Red Hat ISO for the slinky ISO available? Or how
do I update all the package lists? I didn't see the necessary
instructions in the README file to update the package lists.

Thanks,

Andy
