OpenOffice.org on older computers, thanks to RULE

This should be a screenshot taken by R. Kweskin on Red Hat 7 or 8 in January 2003, again on the “test2″ computer listed in the RULE testing database. It proofs how the RULE installers made possible to keep using OpenOffice.org, that is to study or work, even on computer with such little RAM that the standard Red Hat installer would refuse to run on it.

Note to readers: today (that is in 2010) it is still possible to run modern versions of Openoffice.org on very limited hardware thanks to OOo4Kids, a version of this office suite with a simplified user interface and reduced hardware requirements. To know more about OOo4kids, you can read this interview to the main OOo4kids developer.
