Hi all,
I tried to use a Slinky-installed RedHat 9 as a printserver for my local
Network. I had some small problems, whoch are NOT specific to
Slinky-systems. The Solution may be interesting for others also:

There is nothing to do, since CUPS announces all printers to all
workstations on the LAN. In reality there are at least two bugs which must
be solved so that cups works like it should do. The follwing must be done
on the printserver only, inside of the file /etc/cups/cupsd.conf:

1. Only if you have a printserver with two network interfaces (f.e. eth0
and ppp0):
Check for
BrowseAddress @LOCAL

2. If you have installed the printer with redhat-config-printer be aware,
that this produces a wrong cupsd.conf. The listening to the
networkinterface is not enabled. You have to add
Listen where is the address of your
