[Rule] Help needed to restore RULE two pane layout

Greetings,

may I ask you to any member with better CSS/HTML skills than mine to
have a look at www.rule-project.org, built with SPIP 1.8.2?

the template which generates that layout is at
www.rule-project.org/rule-broken-sommaire.html

I want to restore the two pane layout, that is:

1) Navigation, Latest News menus, plus "Built With SPIP" on a left
   pane
2) everything from "Welcome to the web home of the RULE project!" to
   the end on a right pane, not *below* as it is today.

I have already done the same in the past, but now I must confess I'm
stuck. This is surely an extremely stupid error of which I'll be
ashamed tomorrow, but right now I am terribly tired and really need
some other fresh eyes to get out of this dead end...

Can you see what is wrong in that template?
